دُبي Time

Time, People, Space & Architecturean urban study across Dubai

Through a series of Time nodes of different Dubai landmarks and building types such as landscapes, public institutions and revered spaces, we are introduced to ideas and conditions that affect the way in which the built environment has been and continues to be shaped

Life stems around each landmark’s node creating waves of movement and activity, as well as another layer of interconnections. The waves are transitively amplified at more crowded and congested locations; therefore, a layer of density is conceived and mapped

The jury was impressed with the exhaustive studies prepared by the Designer and how she identified suitable left over public spaces in Dubai for the project culminating with the selection of the optimum site. The highly deductive process was refreshing to see from a young designer. Activating left over spaces in Dubai and allowing them to become physical and social connectors is commendable.
For this reason the AIA Middle East Jury awards the designer with a Merit Award in the student category
